MISSION STATEMENT:
The purpose of Lady Luck Burlesque is to bring a form of traditional performance art to the greater seacoast, specifically Portsmouth, NH. Our goal is to bring local musicians, artists, dancers, and business owners of the community together to embrace one common idea, and to simultaneously broaden the spectrum of what Burlesque is.
VISIONS & VALUES:Our vision is to embrace Burlesque and pair it with broadway, flamenco, jazz, and many other energetic performance styles. We will constantly be developing new concepts, costumes, and performances that not only encompass traditional Burlesque, but also introduce ground breaking entertainment that our community has been lacking. We will empower women to appreciate their bodies, with regard to their many beautiful shapes, sizes, challenges, and abilities. We will provide the thrill seekers of the community something extremely tasteful and well-rehearsed, and will cater to men, women, artists, business owners, and everyone in between. Seductive entertainment at its finest! As proud members of our community, we will organize benefit shows annually to support causes such as breast and ovarian cancer research, and will always be open to community based projects. We will bring together and support local musicians, artists, and dancers in a tasteful, respectable medium – BURLESQUE!
